One of the interesting things for me is to see when times are really tough, how people act. They say that diamonds are only formed under high pressure and temperature, so it is really now time to see who around you are diamonds and who are not.
In today’s age of many multiple page contracts, we seem to have forgotten that our word should still be our bond. My contention is that if you cannot keep to your word, or at least play totally open cards no matter how difficult or uncomfortable the consequences will be, then a contract would not help either. All to often I have seen contracts being broken, so my conclusion is that if someone is dishonest, not contract will be really able to hold him.
We need to get back to understanding that our word must be our bond, and it should not become some cheap commodity for sale whenever pressure is applied.
