Just some random thoughts at this stage, but I think that we do not always understand the fundamental difference between the two and also there is not a lot of tolerance between people whose gift package keeps them mainly in one or the other. I think that we also can migrate between the two as seasons change and God moves us on. Understanding the fundamental differences between the two is something I am being challenged on in my spirit at present.
Samuel and David are two examples of a pioneer and leader and clearly they bring a huge blessing to the body when they flow together. However, Samuel and Saul show the opposite effect by Saul discounting Samuel.
